Crank battery recomendations

my crank battery is on the way out and the local quoted $730 !!! Have done some searching through the forum for a suitable replacement. Will go with either the Century DIN85L or the Varta G14.
What I cant find out is if there is anything fancy (sequence / programming) I need to do when replacing the battery myself or is it like a normal car ? i.e. disconnect - remove - replace - reconnect.?

I would have thought it would be the same as a full reboot.
Let car go to sleep, then disconnect negative then positive, then lift battery out. New battery in, positive then negative, then reprogram windows and clock....maybe other things on your model.
If it were me, I would do just that.
But you never know...the disco might say I don't like that battery and have a hissy fit lol.

I installed a supercharger gold MF 88H yesterday, same diamentions as original battery, perfect fit , and purchased for under $200.

5 yrs out of the original battery, and it was still starting the car but wouldn't come up to full charge , so replaced it before the trouble started.
