Just Banged Head Again - Anyone Else

For the second time I have just about knocked myself out getting into the car. Somehow with the car parked on a slight angle half up a kerb and me being in a hurry I open the door quickly leaning forward and the top corner of the door makes perfect contact with my forehead!

I just about had to have a cry this morning.

Bloody hurts - I am 6'2" so probably perfect height helps also.

I have tried several times to recreate what has occurred to you with no avail.

    I have the solution

I'll do a fair swap My lifted D2, no issues with 6'2" drivers banging heads. While with my 5'6" noggin should safely navigate any potential OSH issues with your D3/4. Problem solved.

    Cheers

I do that in my defender occasionally, but the worst 'head banging vehicle' incident I've had was when a few months back got out of my lancer (on a slope as well) and stood up into the frame of the actual door at the top of the window. And the bastard drew blood! Made a good headache as well.

Not on the side doors, but the tailgate shape caught me unawares one day. Facing into vehicle, grabbed the shorter part with left hand and bought tailgate down on my head...no beers involved.

No doors have got me, but the tailgate has. The D3 was right down on it's bum, and somehow I managed to forget to duck underneath the open tailgate. I'm not blessed with much height, but what height I have was just enough to connect my forehead with the edge of the tailgate.

My son did that - brought a tear to his eye. Did all I could do to stop myself laughing. Poor bugger.
