When DSC kicks in it is often violent as brakes are applied to correct the slid - the whole car moves. With TC you will see the indication on the dash and the ABS type shudder can be felt and heard through the brake pedal.

I can get my TC to activate at an intersection near home where I turn right 90 degrees and the weight of the vehicle transfers to the outside and the inside lightens up cause a little wheel slip as power is applied and TC responds.

Having said that I have DSC activate on the road on tighter bends when I had a rear passenger side tyre deflating that was not obvious when driving.

There is a simple test - have you tried driving in the areas that cause the issues with DSC turned off?

Try driving in a straight line at a fair clip (80-90kph) & let the steering wheel go, keep your hands ready to grab it.
If the car just gently goes to the left with the road camber it's probably not tyres or alignment. If it goes right or left quickly then it could be tyres, alignment, something bent, worn bushes etc.
I do this all the time & most of the time the car tracks either dead straight or gently goes left, even over bumps & stuff.

Do they wear out often? I was thinking about replacing the air spring/shock assemblies on mine, because it seemed drive kind of funny when I attempted to tow my 90 on a trailer. But it was the first time I've ever towed anything, and I very well might have been going too fast

I've got over 290,000km and I was going about 110-115 km/h (I had to convert those, so hopefully I got them right.... the US still teaches us to think with silly units that no one else uses anymore).

Hi Dennis,

Our D3 used to have the DSC come on repeatedly when the shocks were crook. Might be time to fit a new set of front shocks as well.

Had exactly the same problem, eventually took the rear wheels off and then saw one of the the tires are not round anymore, were busy delaminating. Replaced the rear tires then all well.

Check tires are not out of shape.

Also found the left rear brakes were shot, it does not have a sensor for wear only the RHS has, check that as well.Maybe this was due the LHS wheel had to brake more because of the DSC
