X2 to Garry's post below.
On a recent drive to & back between Melbourne and Brisbane, my actual fuel usage was on average 1.4 L/100km over the quoted figure.

Doesn't allow me to change the miles to km... It resets the trip computer. Tried all the different ways I've found on the Internet - just taking the terminals off is left.

It will certainly be interesting to see the fuel consumption... I just did another reset on the computer and strangely enough the range is now 90 miles not 200.. Beats me.. Maybe something hanged on the trip computer.
Anyway.. I'll fill it up tomorrow, see what I getI still think it should be pretty good! I think it will be sub 10.
Cheers Mike
Do you have a handbook?I don't know if there's much difference between the D3 and D4 re. message centres ... a mate's D4 requires you to get into the so-called "interactive" mode which you navigate with the steering wheel buttons some how, then scroll to vehicle information...and change from imperial to metric ...

I've been able to get close to 1100 with majority highway driving @ 110km/h. As Garry said, that was in an RRS though which are slightly lighter and more aerodynamic.
Normally get about 820-850km to a tank, 30% highway driving, 30% city, 40% country driving.
Mike the distanced to go does not use the average figure shown on the display - it uses an other formula that is supposed to reflect more recent usage rather than average usage since last fill or reset - don't ask me what that formula is though. If I have been driving in high fuel usage conditions and then refill, distance to empty on refill has been as low at 500km but as I start driving on the new tank but very sedately, distance to empty will slowly increase. If you monitor distance to empty closely you will often notice it going up rather than down as you drive.
Yes you are correct - there are posts somewhere on here how to change the internal menu ie change miles to km, mpg to l/100km, time lights stay on, speed alarm etc.
On cars with radio controls on the steering wheel, pressing the i button on he stalk resets the display as you have on yours but when you scroll through the various functions i comes up which allows you into the sub menus and use the steering wheel controls (up and down (volume) and side to side (radio function)) to select and change settings.
My handbook does not cover the basic radio/dash display so I am not able to advise how to change it.
Cheers

Garry, you could be onto something there - I did notice last night I had the little 'i' letter pop up which I don't remember noticing before but I didn't do anything further.. I'll give it a go again this afternoon and try see if I can reset.
Do you think the controls on the radio would work in a similar fashion as the ones on the steering wheel? I'm intrigued now
Thanks for the heads up!
The range keeps climbing atm.
I honestly cannot remember the process for your car but something that does come to mind is that when "i" comes up on the screen and you enter the menu, as you do not have the steering controls I think the radio does it but I really cannot remember.
I guess you do not have the handbook for the car as it should be there. You can always join Topix TOPIx - TOPIx put in your VIN and look up the handbook for your vehicle.

Garry, sorry I do have the handbook but the instructions specifically relate to the car with the extra wheel controls, very limited for the standard pack.
