I even tried a new approach today, seeing we are in toyota territory I checked out prices on 265/60/18 which I was told came standard in a Dunlop tyres on some cruisers and some prado's. Atleast $300ish is a bit better, but not to sure about the dunlop a22 or whatever they were, they looked to be a very road type tread.

Ean, been getting prices on this size Tyre as well, would like a taller side wall though. Prices range from $250-$470. Am seriously considering hankook rf10, they get great reviews and are priced at $250 a Tyre fitted, next would be general grabber at2's at $310. Bf pricing I have received was $450+:(
Bought these bad boy Hankook Dynapro MT's last week. $278.00 fitted & balanced. They also get excellent reviews.......

I'm interested in the Hankooks to replace the KM2s, the reviews have been very good, however I haven't heard from a D3/4 owner.
What is the noise like on the highway?

Looking on the net over the last few days I have confirmed how much we get ripped off for freight here in the NT.
I have tried tire rack in the past and once you get the freight component to Darwin from the USA the price only is cheaper for Goodyear wranglers, and BFG's. The perelli's etc work out about the same, IF bought from either NSW or Qld, not here in Darwin.
We bring a road train to Darwin every fortnight and I have a very good idea on what a pallet space costs for Dry, Chiller and Freezer, but cant find anywhere in my time looking how upto $140-150 per tyre can be added.
As I have said many times am happy to support local, and even happy to pay a few bucks more, but I refuse to be robbed blind.
The car is a daily driver and does 95% of its life on highways so am looking for either a good H/T or A/T.

So what are peoples opinions on the KM2's?
I'm on my second set of Bighorns, and they have been great. But the KM2 tread pattern looks like it might be quieter when it wears...
