Like all new pads they were terrible for the first 30minutes after installing but 48 hours later I don't notice any difference at all..
Too early to comment on the brake dust aspect.
FYI I ordered them on eBay from WA.. less than $150 for all four corners
I fitted some recently for a similar price. I havent replaced the sensors yet, and probably wont - they are about $30 each, and when a set of pads is $150 it bumps the total cost up a bit (extra 40%). I will also need new discs at all four corners once these pads are done so if it grinds into the disc i don't care!Quote:

Makes a lot of sense, is shorting them just a matter of cutting the two wires and joining them together?

As I have them on order already I'm happy to be the guinea pig.. will get them done this afternoon and report back
My plan for the future is to stop somewhere just before the sensors wear!
Haha yeah there should be a pre-sensor to let us know when the sensor is about to be broken [emoji14]
What dis you end up paying for the sensors?
It's about a 60 second job to cut the sensor and connnect the wires together, the warning lamps are now all sorted.
I paid $70 including delivery from a guy on eBay (comes from NSW) but I have seen them on eBay for $12 ish each tho they mentioned the 3.0l D4 not the 2.7 so I wasn't confident they would fit and also they are coming from china and wasn't prepared to wait.
Has anyone recently purchased any DBA Slotted rotors with Akebono Pads? I have a MY11 2.7L that needs new rotors and pads shortly and from the looks of this thread DBA and Akebono are the way to go. I'm in Sydney if anyone can recommend good prices for any suppliers or online stores.

Not exactly. I have purchased DBA slotted rotors (substituted as the cheaper Bosch rotor was not in stock) and they were combined with Bendix Euro pads at the rear of the bus (D4).Quote:

I have had no problem with them at all. They have bedded well and cause no noise, very little dust and so I couldn't complain. Do I think I need slotted rotors? Hell no. But I can't complain about them either as aside from a likely increase in pad wear, they're not causing me any ill-effect.
