Yes, I am, but probably not the sort you mean. When I mentioned it was wired into the cigarette lighter circuit, I meant one of these:

which is a 3A supply. So more than adequate for powering the screen.

I've not seen them , I was thinking the little plugin types..

Where did you get the screen - I'm interested to see if would work in our freelander

So, if I understand it correctly, the idea is to do basically what I think Polaris? claims, with options of everything from reversing camera to gps and media bits integrated, but choosing your own bits?

Might have to dig out that project that changed a D2 from single to double DIN fascia!!!
