Tame, even with all the mud, but I thought the tracks were pretty good for that sort of thing.

Remember these days are aimed at people who have little or no experience so must be kept fairly easy, with a couple of things that look difficult but are actually very straightforward as long as you listen to the instructor.

I took the bride along with me yesterday..great fun apart from getting a flat tyre in the black sport within a minute of setting off, swapped into one of the white one and off we go, lovely to drive, pretty tame tracks but did everything, the instructor just let us drive without much input from him, encouraged us to mess it up etc.
Great fun for a couple of hours in the rain anyway!

Well, after speaking with John of Get-About who was running the event with his wife Julie, it seems that the 15 years of persistence has paid of and they have finally managed to get the gig to do the Land Rover Experience events here in Australia with this being their 1st event.

It seems now that there is no going back now since John took my wife around the track in an Evoque - she definitely wants one. It's now just a matter of how long I can hold her off!

Just for something different I tried the Sport - HSE I think it was. Beautiful to drive, very smooth and absolutely nothing for the driver to have to think about when it comes to off roading except for where the tyres are placed. Terrain Response 2 takes care of the rest. The course was very tame and in no way was a challenge for the vehicles(or drivers) - still fun though.

No doubt Land Rover make amazing vehicles. I just hope that they remember where the brand came from and continue to provide more utilitarian vehicles as well as these luxurious ones.
    Cheers,

    Sean

This is good. Just hope it makes its way over here to the west.

If it's on again, I'd be willing to pay to send my old man along. I'm trying to talk him into a D4.

    Happy Days.

    Thumbs up

ended up there on the Saturday for the LR experience and went out in the new
sport, weird colour combo, dark blue with Silver roof. That said we were
hacking around the road track when the LR rep demonstrated the EPB
passenger braking option, safe to say the evoque following closely behind
had to make a very fast lane change manoeuvre to avoid us

Very impressed with the new sport, i am taking my MY10 out for some bush
bashing this weekend and see how it compares in the mud and rocks

    Cheers

Interesting. Apparently as a recent new buyer I have scored an invite.

I wonder if I get to put mine through the track or a demo model?

When is it on again? Is this an invite only thing?

    Happy Days
