Having had d694 and d697 in the past I highly recommend them.
For those of us stuck with 19 inch rims what options do we have?
On to 3 rd set of Duellers over two Discos..... No brainer, been brilliant !:D
I am running at present General Grabber AT'2, There is also a newer variant which is just the AT. I have been using GGAT'2 for nearly 10yrs now & have no issues with them, tho' others on here have fallen out of love with them.
I have had on the D4 originally the MTZ, but my wife hated them so we compromised & went back the GGAT'2.
I also see Mickey Thompson has a new player. ATZ P3....but only a 275/70/18 Ah well..Sorry.
Hmm the 17's seem look like a good fit tho' for me....;);)
I just fitted a set of Cooper Zeon LTZ's in 255 55 19.
Seem to be OK on both wet & dry bitumen.
Seem to be a little firmer than the GG's.
I am happy that the GG AT harmonic vibration noise has gone.
What are the D697's like in the wet and after they have a few thou on them.
I had duelers on my first D1 and they were good until I got about 40 thou on them.Had to take it real easy in the wet,but they were still fine in the dry.
cheers
Got the D697s on this morning, got an extra discount too, $350 per tyre including fitting and balancing and free rotation every 5000ks:BigThumb:
Thoughts from the 45k drive home, very quiet compared to the GG AT2s, good wet weather grip.
