168,000ks is belts, $2500 or so according to Peter, he doesn't take the body off either

Rego not an option, leaving it in SA plates means it being in limbo and not fully registered in our name. WA needs us to have WA address and licence.
Run back to broken hill, blue slip and register in nsw with new plates, only a 1500km detour.

Will ask again about the belts.

You'll have plenty more time to think, whatever it is you're thinking about. Since buying my D3 V8 and spending a few weeks sorting out the bushes, tyres, brakes and suspension wiring I've not had to think about it at all, apart from "when can I drive it again"!

I used to check under the D2 bonnet every week and have a good squint around for leaks etc, not so with this one....

Well the LR dealer here in port lincoln withdrew their trade offer, seems my questions about timing belts made them decide they did not want to sell to me, not the type of business I feel I would want to do business with if that's the case.
