    D3 S or SE differences

What are the main differences between the S and the SE series 3 Discovery.

Cheers in advance for the education.

7 seats instead of 5, air suspension and terrain response are the main differences in the SE.

I have noticed a lot of the S series for sale have a lot of off road accessories fitted would it be safe to say they are the more acceptable out of the 3 for harder off roading.

A stock SE is still far more capable than a all accessories fitted S model. The air suspension is a luxury when going long drives and in dirt roads. Distinct feature for a LR is the terrain response that may be compensated with front and rear diff installation. Would recommend you to take a drive on both S and SE. You will feel the difference of the air suspension straight away. My 2009 SE did the glass house mountain track with fellow Aulro members as its first offroad drive and performed great. ....good luck with your choice...

I thought the lights were H7 Pete?? or are they H7 in later models??

The reason I ask is one member was looking at upgrading his Halogen H7s on his D3, maybe I was thinking of another vehicle

    I'm not Pete, but...

The H7 are the high beam globes in the xenon lights.

The difference also depends on the year model.
From memory the last upgrade to the models, about 09, the SE got colour coded mudguards & rear door handle. The S got air suspension & TR. I think the SE also got Bi-X headlights as standard, up graded stereo & a couple of other minor bits.

PS This is only from my poor memory as I have lost the spec sheets since I bought mine..
