So does this lift affect the Air lifting capabilities of the Discovery ?
Just curious if the extra 70 mm is on top of the the original lift the air suspension gives ?
Sorry, but I am a noob on Disc, and learning from others.

DSC00046.jpgHi all, it's been a long time since in this forum, but though I would share my suspension upgrade with you.
Have suffered a fair amount of superficial under body damage in my MY2007 coiler and finally got around to getting a lift....partly in preparation for an
DSC00045.jpgupcoming Cape York trip.
Whilst having had the this Disco since new, only done 110,000 klms and have deferred its replacement.
I opted for King Springs, claimed 45mm lift at $410.00 all round delivered.
Also matching struts from Dobinsons at $631.00 all round delivered. Labour for fitting $467.00 plus alignment. Also fitted higher profile BFG 265/70R17 tyres, adding to ground clearance
Result was about 70mm lift measured from top of wheel arch to hub centre (full fuel). I guess this will settle with a little time. There is no apparent change to ride and handling.
Will post a pic later.

Coil springs are instead of air so there is no air lift on the coil sprung S.
As far as I know only the MY09 D3 S had air suspension (+fabric seats, 5- seater, MY08SE spec audio). Previously models were coil only.
One in WA sold yesterday on carsales.

Not entirely true.
Air suspension was an option on Disco S models.
My 2005 Disco S has air suspension and terrain response, no leather, no extra seats and basic radio.
That's why I bought it!

I have been running the Dobinsons kit since 2010 with no issues.
Harsher ride than the standard springs but well worth it.
Goes everywhere I have ever asked it to although I have lost a few litres from the tank capacity along the way.
Worth looking at adding some sill protection as you will park it on a rock somewhere along the way. Same for something under the intercooler up front, you will snag it on approach eventually.
FWIW... Land Rover changed standard spec in 08 or 09 "for "S" variant. They dropped leather seats in favour of cloth and introduced air suspension as standard...no change to retail price.
Those of us with coilers have one less thing to worry about...give stories I've heard about air/compressors failing.
