Doesn't this happen with a D3?
Not so much as they are black plastic except on the 09 model. The plastic is extremely durable and practical. Easy to maintain a deep lustrous black with various products and it doesn't show damage much (both my front ones have 1-2mm gouges all over them from various things and it's not really noticeable).
Thanks folks... I will waste no more time hunting something I obviously don't need....
Will check out that film though and Baz.. love the mesh idea for high risk trips....

I can't see any other change from the my08 to 09 other than painted plastic mud guard spats. I'm not surprised as GFC peak would have slowed up any investment when the MY10 D4 was just around the corner.Quote:
