That's what I had in mind originally but the panel on the lhs in my pic is where the aux in is and it is full of "stuff" so I took the route as pictured.

Thanks Epic , thats is what i had in mind , the prior owner has wired the UHF from the second battery , so i reckon i will hook into that some how and fit in the back of the console

I've fitted two Narva units I got from Autobarn.
One is wired from the second battery and run through a circuit breaker to the rear luggage area and has a cigarette plug and a dual USB under the second cap.
The other is plugged into the cigarette unit in the dash, screwed to the side of the transmission tunnel and has two ciggies and one USB. Using the existing dash plug means that unit switches off with the ignition and doesn't flatten anything. It also came pre-wired.
Having the rear unit run to the second battery means I can run a fridge when the vehicle is stopped and be confident the dual battery unit won't let it flatten the starting battery. Also, both units can easily be removed if necessary.
No reason why my unit from the second battery couldn't have been run to the rear of the centre cosole instead.
Hope that helps. Its really not that hard, even for an electroklutz like me.
