Thanks Dazray. Both those attachments do not specifically mention the SDV6 though, only the TDV6...
Castrol Australia do not provide a crankcase oil on the online selector, just a number to call for a technician!

Don't overfill the oil! The level sensor is very slow to show a topped-up level so be sure to wait plenty of time if you don't measure the oil (5.9L IIRC)
Below is LR's oil change procedure.

If not listed by tommorow I will grab my handbook and check.Pretty sure both were listed as the same.
Andrew
I work on the principle of read the instructions, read them again, take it apart, look at the parts, read the instructions a third time, put it back together, check the instructions again, pray, start car, lol
Andrew,
You will need to determine if your vehicle has a DPF or not
The specs are
WSS-M2C913-B/C for non DPF
WSS-M2C934-B forn DPF
For my non DPF TDVV6 I use
Total Quartz 900 Future NFC 5W30
You can get 5 litre packs quite cheap from Golden west Lubricant in Maddington
Castrol do make a oil for a sdv6 is 400 bucks for a 20 l drum. I bought one before i realised that my car had come with purchased services. It's called Castrol c1 i believe and will do those crazy 24k services the rep told me that the dealers do not use it. Most doing 12k servicing use a synthetic turbo based oil. I spoke to land rover mechanic at Mackay dealership he confirmed it.
If you use the "Castrol Trade Netlube" guide it will give you the specs.
As per above, for DPF models which the selector says is 2013-14 you will need Castrol Edge Professional C1 5W-30. You can buy it, but minimum size is a 20L drum.
