The high beam wire supplies power to open the shutter to achieve bi-xenon high beam and to power the fill-in. There is no relay as the BCU uses FETs to do the switching so you will have to tap into the high beam wire. Use a relay with an inbuilt reverse current protection diode.
Thanks for that, that is a MY10 drawing.Did you get that from TOPix??? I tried getting in there yesterday, site was down.
I have PMed Sniegy to see if he can shed any light on this.
An MY10 would be easy, just get the pickup from the seperate driving light, mine doesnt have them.
On the MY14 with bi xenns the round light is an indicator, earlier D4s its a driving light.
Cheers
Andrew
Not sure if I got that one from Topix. It is a complete fitting instruction for the OEM kit and has references throughout to 10MY & 14MY, but only has one wiring diagram. The instructions show use of existing connector pins and the addition of splice joints.
MY14 External Lighting pdf attached.
Andrew (LandyAndy) have you connected your spotties? I am going to connect my light bar tomorrow and am looking for some pics of what others have done and the High beam wire in the Bi xenons (with signature LED).
Sorry Hatchy.
Still havent got the bullbar fitted to fit the lights too:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Perhaps you can let me know how you go:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:
Andrew
And if it doesn't I might need to buy a new LH light :o
Any tricks or know how to unplug the light loom? Found the shutter lead. Could I just tap into the shutter and thus get the high beam function???
So it is all hooked up. Works great was easier than was expecting. Simply cut into the blue/slate high beam motor shutter and solder to it as the high beam 'control'. Now just have to wait for it to get dark to go see how good it is!!!
