Allianz cover both the LR offering and a product that covers lots of cars including LRs, which is far superior and better value for money than the deal LR offer as "their" extended warranty.
It isn't a warranty, it's an insurance policy .... anybody can arrange that but LR sell it as or infer that it's an LR product.

I took out the Allianz top end cover for my original D4 and it paid itself off easily. No pattern of failures, just one oil leak that trashed lots of parts. Other than that, it wouldn't have been needed. Sounds just like any other insurance policy doesn't it?
Give LR their due, they were very active in making sure the warranty was honoured and the car was fixed within a day or so.
