I'm not questioning that stat but hasn't it been proven that the LC200 is on paper more powerful and has more torque but its ECU/drivetrain drinks up the 'advantage' .... which is why they are supposedly slower than a D4 in the real world ... as in being driven on the road.

    It's a question.

My poverty pack, loaded D4 was left behind by a diesel, late model, empty low lux on the Toowoomba range a few weeks ago.

I convinced myself that it was probably chipped

When empty it will leave a mates empty LC V8 tray back for dead....

I'm surprised at the fact that a tv show has done a back to back comparison with a LR! Normally they would be the last on the list

I've never driven a 200 Series, but without a doubt, the D4 is the hardest accelerating 3 tonne truck I have ever driven.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most

2015 TDV6 D4.... the latest project... Llams, Traxide, Icom 455, Tuffant Kimberleys and Mofos.... so far.
2012 SDV6 SE D4 with some stuff... gone...
    2003 D2a TD5...gone...
    2000 D2 V8...gone...

    comparing -

Donkeys to Donkeys - the donkey wins, but its still 'just a winning donkey'.

Why would this be of any interest to anyone - really. how many Landrover Drivers pull up next to a Tojo at the lights and even consider the thought that you could blow this bloke to the weeds? if you have, your in the wrong vehicle for the current surge of testosterone.

For a start we do have speed limits in the real world and if your doing these speeds on dirt roads you could be a looney anyway - especially if its loaded with the full swag - we all know that dirt roads tend to be changeable.

There are plenty of other comparisons that actually mean something to the driver - albeit less than 1% of the driving experience (in actual Km's travelled).

I would be more interested to see what else they come up with, hopefully better than this lame stat.

apologies for my 2 bobs worth

If I really want to drag race at the lights I can win against almost every car on my BMW K1600GT motorcycle. Just a bit of fun with the drag racing comparison of different 4WD's. As others have said, it doesn't mean anything in reality.

That's right but it's always a bit of fun giving it a boot away from the lights.

dragging at the lights - was never all beer and skittles.

If your 45 - 60 y/o + and in a donkey unleashing a bit of excess testo - if caught, then you'll get a fine and a -us a few points.

If your under 30, in anything more than an automotive joke (A to B car), you'll get a hoon law thrown at you .. and have the car dismembered and inserted in your colon piece by piece.

    Peace out.
