    Towing mirrors

I am new to the forum and have a current model D4 MY15.

Does anyone have suggestions for appropriate caravan towing mirrors for this model?

Also, any ideas as to the price of the genuine extension towing mirror VPLVT0080?

If you search this subject you will find a considerable amount of discussion on the matter. We use the Brunsgaard mirrors which are excellent

From my experience the camec suction mirrors work, sort of. They don't really offer much of a field of view. But they are cheap and better than nothing. I tried Milenco falcon mirrors which are supposed to fit to the current D4 and 2014 RRS but I can't get them to stay on just parked in the shed, they just wind off as I tighten the thumb screws. So I went with Brunsgaard and after a bit of farting about getting the little tongue thing that hooks to the outside inner edge to be the correct shape bobs your uncle. Excellent, actually better than excellent service from Brunsgaard Perth, fully recommended.

We have just changed to a MY15 Disco4 and have to revisit towing mirrors because the ones we used on our Disco3 are not going to suit the mirrors on the new car. Have you noticed if the screw down pressure pad marks the paint on the back of the Disco mirrors?

We've got the Milenco Aero's with the new clamp pads. Only done one trip so far but felt secure and didn't loosen over the trip. I believe if you've got Milenco's already you can just buy the pads for $15.

Mirrors plus pads cost us $140 from a local shop in Perth.

No marks at all so far from the pads on the brunsgaard. Maybe if you take the mirrors on and off over dirty and bug covered mirror housings they could mark over time.
