    Park Lights always on

    Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone has the same issue with the rear park lights and plate lights remaining on all the time.

As soon as I start driving they come on and remain on until the car is turned off.

    This is a 2014 D4 Hse.

    Any help would be great

Are Daylight Running Lights (DRL) enabled? However, I'd expect the front park lights to also be on if DRL were enabled.

The DRL and the front park lights are the same lights and it is enable.

But I thought the DRL is only for the front?

Ahh, sorry I can't help you there, Stan. I don't have a D4 and I've never enabled DRL on my P38A.

    It was just a thought.

DRL I guess if you are using the "automatic" setting, never checked the rear lights.
Also, the DRL lights seem to go off if the gearbox is in neutral/park.They also dim on the side an indicator is working on to.Flash stuff compared to the olde series days

That doesn't sound right. Mine don't stay on unless the head lights are on. And I always have my light switch set to auto.

Not all D4s have DRLs fitted

My D4 HSE doesn't have it but it's an MY13 not a later model. I had it in for its first annual service today and asked about DRL - it's mentioned in the manual. The service manager said it's not on this model. Must admit I wouldn't have minded having it. I suppose I could turn the parking lights on but then I have to remember to turn them off and unfortunately I've become used to the auto setting.

The green light would be on the dash, and you have to manualy turn them on after every re-start.
