Thread: D4 TDV6 MY2014 Global Closing

It comes disabled but the dealer is activating Global Closing on the car today while it's being serviced.

I'd suggest a PM to Sniegy for that answer.

His vehicle still runs the older file too, so he has global close.

It's a handy feature for sure!

Gosh even a friends busted bum spec mondeo has global closing and opening.
Cant see why we cant have it too.

Has global close exactly the same as the MY2014 one.

Exemptions can be made for vehicles as always, but as its configurable they can remove it.

Is this then an ADR requirement to not allow global closing or an LR decision, because my wife's 2007 Renault has for the want of a better word, global closing through the proximity/remote card working on all windows.

So it seems odd that some have it, or in this case LR don't, even one of the new Skodas has rain sensing auto close windows.

Very strange.

It may be LR held it back, or it may be its changed.

Or, it may be un configurable on some vehicles so just left active...

We have two VWs, a 2007 Golf(base model) and an Amarok, both have globel open and close, also our D4 was enabled about 2yrs ago, and to be honest, I don't think I've ever used it, on any of our cars, maybe once I used the close feature after working on the car one weekend, Ness using it quite a bit on her Amarok though.

I do have the steps to fix globel closing if it ever stops working, but that is readily available from LR anyway.

We had it done because it was offered to us, we would have been content without it, but when someone offers you something for nothing, hey I'm in
