Traxide system. Problem?

OK then, can you keep an eye on the voltage as the batteries settle.

See if the SC80 cuts out at a higher voltage than it should do.

Also, just make sure the SC80's thin earth wire is secure.

If the earth wire is not making a good earth contact, it can cause a high voltage shutdown.

soldering can be better than crimping, but if the preperation and execution isnt brillaint then you get issues with the flux wicking up the copper and casuing corrosion within the insulation.

or you get solder wicking up past where you want it to be causing the wires to stiffen and break of with vibration fatigue at the start of your bend.

of course crimping causes just as many if not more issues if you dont have decen gear but the big advantage is the speed of rework if you need to. I've also never acididentally burnt myself with a pair of crimpers or been nauseated by the fumes coming from crimping flux. :)

You have a good point, I've seen some bad solder joints. Myself I always use high quality solder, a good temperature controller soldering iron and choose the right tip for the wire or pcb I am working with. Never had any issues, also you should be using an exhaust fan when soldering (because we all do that don't we? ;) haha )

I've checked all the connections, which are crimped and soldered, but still I have the issue.

Yesterday, the starter battery was 12.53 and the aux was 12.57.

The green light was flashing.

The SC80 earth was checked and tested elsewhere, but still the same.

What next?

Hi ytt, is looks like the isolator is the problem, so get it back to me and I will repair or replace it.
