Hi All,
I just finished wiring my Redarc Tow Pro into my 2011 D4. I spent some time going through the threads on this site and ended up cutting the trailer wiring loom underneath the D4 just out from the plug so I could replace the trailer socket on the car. The Landrover 12N socket was not wired to Australian pinouts??? Found this out after a day and a half trying to work out why it was not working as I had no park lights coming on the camper.

For me cutting the wiring loom near the trailer socket was the best thing I could have done as now I have extra wiring there to remove/replace the trailer socket on the D4 if needed. I also ran an independent trailer brake controller wire (blue wire) from the controller unit down the right side of the vehicle directly to the trailer socket. (my controller unit is on the panel under the dash, drivers side) along with the red wire that picks up the vehicle braking.

The control switch is fitted into the panel next to the light switch and looks a neat finish. It is working perfectly now and after fitting a new socket (wired correctly) my trailer park lights also work!!

Thanks to all who have posted questions and answers regarding fitting a TBC, you have helped me immensely.
