He would need to retrofit smaller brakes. At least one other member has done that on a D4 v8 to enable fitment of 17" wheels.

Actually you only need the 2.7 callipers and then most rims fit. From what I have been told LR made the later model callipers so 17's and 18's couldn't fit. Maybe they wanted a minimum of 19's knowing that there were no serious off road tyres for the larger sized rims.
