Thread: LED Light bar

Decided to go with the LightForce LED 215 Spot and Spread Combination lights after reading some of your helpful responses.
Also looked up Alan Whiting's YouTube video of the lights in operation - very effective long range lighting with wide near distance spread.
Thanks for your opinions and help.

Really does nothing much now other than change the "colour" of the light in front of the car, particularly at close range.

I drove back from Perth last night - home at about 9:30pm. This was the first trip with the Fyrlyts.

Having previously done the same trip with Hella Predators, Britax X-Ray Vision and Lightforce (all HID) on various vehicles, I can honestly confirm that the Fyrlyt Nemesis lights EASILY out performs any of the above.

My only criticism of the Fyrlyts (and it is only a minor one) is that even with everything tightened up as much as possible after setting / adjusting the lights, it is still quite easy to move the lights, either sideways or up / down. Their mounting system, while solid and simple, is not as secure as some others I have experienced before. I don't see this as a major drama though, as I'm currently looking at a couple of possibilities on how to secure the mounting better.

Would still recommend these lights to anyone though. My young bloke wants a set for his Amarok when he buys it.

My question is how do you wire the lights you have attached to the roof Racks? Where do you run the wiring?

I have been running Fyrlyts on my Vogue for about 18 months now. Never had one move unintentionally. What are you using to tighten them? An allen key isn't enough for the horizontal bolt.

Mine is run under the cover on the lefthand side of the windscreen. It pops off and there is room for the wire, Tight!

You Could go RHS windscreen or other options which I wouldn't such as drilling a hole in the roof

Wiring on mine runs along chassis to rear of vehicle, then up alongside the tailgate and onto roof where it goes into left side channel, then up the inside of left rear leg into the roof rack. Then runs along the inside of the left side rail of the roof rack.

No holes drilled, and you can't see the wiring anywhere on the vehicle (except when tou have the tailgate open).
