I use Castrol Edge 5w-30 in my 2.7 D3. The super cheap near me does stock it. They seem to have specials on this oil a few times a year and so I tend to get it when the deals are on for about $55 for 5L.
Wow I didn't know you could change out the brakes to fit the smaller rims, very interesting but sounds expensive. Anyway I sure that I will enjoy the experiences that this vehicle will bring and maybe not enjoy some of the problems by the sounds of things.

Graeme is correct what he says. For what its worth I search High and low for the 5w - 30 Castrol Magnetec A5. Repco will get it for you as the are supposed to be a Castrol dealer. Supercheap usually will get it but only in 20lts.
The cheapest by far should be your ford dealer they use it in the Ranger, and if you take a container just buy what you need
Or switch to one you can get easily.
These both are available in 10 litre bottles.
