What is the brand of bracket you have?
Jay car!!!
I have since added a strip of neoprene rubber to the bottom so it sits on the dash but gives support while absorbing vibration, works a treat.
I have a 10 inch tablet on a Ram Mount which I secure to the right front bolt of the passenger's seat. The only thing that is a little harder to access is the DSC button, which is no biggie.
I wonder if you can get the seat mount and fix it to your existing.

Thanks, but as mentioned in my original post, I have tried the seat mount, but found that it wobbled badly on rough roads - that was in the Patrol which had very stiff suspension btw. No matter how much I tightened the bottom bolt to secure the rod it still wobbled at the top. It was a RAM product as well.
Fred.. Can you take a shot from the Passenger side showing the mount etc..
Thanks
Mine is on a floor mounted Ram Mount, bolted to the seat bolt (plastic cover removed)
I have used a seat base pole mount previously in my old D2a and as you said it used to wobble insanely, even on highway roughness roads, let alone anything rough like the Gibb River Rd etc. My mount, whilst the wife only just tolerates its ugliness, is rock solid. I went for a run with the tablet today and the only movement is in the RAM X mount frame itself.
The tablet when mounted as I have is high enough that the analogue clock is obscured, so it is not really that low. I actually had to move it down today so I could get to the volume control knob.
Have fun,
Well - here is what mine looks like. I think it is too big, but it is very sturdy.

Here are a couple of photos of my setup.
Obstruction from the driving position is minimal as the tab is really only visible in my peripheral vision.
I prefer having it up on the dash as it means I can glance at it whilst driving without taking my eyes off the road
