RDA was a break away employee from DBA.
They don't have the same cooking capacity as the DBA.
And your brake store should read on the slotted and drilled rotors. If used for track will crack and warranty is not offered..
An entire shop returning stock and changing screams of BS.... DBA don't usually supply on consignment - so the goods would be owner/paid for... RDA did have better margins which is a more viable reason....
Their slotting is quite different to the T2 as well.
You don't need to use cross drilled rotors on the track for them to crack either, they are quite capable of that with street use:)Quote:

This is harder than I thought, and way harder than it should have been...
Order from Vendor 1 - No Akebono, but TNF ordered. Turns out (at the mechanic's with everything apart) that it is the wrong one (one for Brembo calipers?). Only new rotors installed. Vendor 1 agrees to refund and provide postage bag.
Order Remsa from Vendor 2 - ask them to double check it is correct, and assure it is. It arrives and sure enough different to the TNFs, but when I check against picture from Britparts it is for the 2.7, not for the 3.0! Call up Vendor 2, and they double check. "Oops." To their credit they platinum ship it to the mechanic who I had booked in for this morning and absorb the price difference, and it arrives just in time... BUT no replacement sensor.
So off I go to LR dealer to buy the sensor and whilst there double check the pads are the same shape/size as the OEM ones. Appointment to replace pads is now booked in for 1.5 weeks away.
Moral of the story - try and check everything, because the "experts" can't seem to get it right despite supplying exact make, model, MY, EXACT variant, and warning them to be sure.
Yes, the vendors have done the right things in rectifying things, but it still left me out of pocket for another set of labour charges, and a whole lot of running around and calls.
Hey what is the thickness of the front pads when new, mine are looking lower then I expected already, which is better then rotor wear.
