Fixing tyre to roof rack
Hi,
I have managed to get my tyre on the roof and have fixed it with those rhino straps but was interested in the j bolts.
I had a look at the j bolts from rhino but both size seem to be to small.
I don't think you can flip the tyre over either.
Does anyone know if the large rhino will fit or of another brand which does for a 19" rim
Thanks in advance,
Richard

Hello again Richard.
I had the wheel tied to the rack with 3 cam-buckle straps.
That way, if one failed, there were still 2 holding the wheel down.
Cheers

Hi
I use 2 cam buckle and 1 racket strap. Stainless steel ring from BCF to link the 3.

Thanks a lot to all above. I have the 3 strap rhino one
After a lot of effort in the cold I have ended up not taking it. I did find I could get the tyre off myself though.
The reason for not taking it is very technical
Some one said they did not want to go driving around with a wheel on the roof and if I did I would be "technically" in hell.😀
But next time.

Happy wife, happy life.
All that angst and worry, Richard, and it comes down to that.
I'll bet you can't wait to get 2 flats, then you'll have the last laugh!
