    Central Coast Test Drive?

    Hi everyone,

    I am looking to buy a D3 (or maybe a D4). I have a thread going discussing the pros and cons of ages, engines, prices etc here but I am at the stage where I really need to drive a few to know what I want. At this stage I'm specifically looking at D3's in TDV6 and petrol V6 and V8 guises (SE and HSE spec).

    I'm in the Gosford area and there is one D3 for sale on the coast and the rest are in Sydney. While I am happy to travel to Sydney to drive a few I won't be buying one until our current car kicks the bucket, and I don't to waste mine or other peoples time (particularly private sellers - not so concerned about stealers).

    I had the (possibly crazy and unreasonable) thought that there might be a few owners on the coast who would be keen to meet another forumite and also show off their pride and joy in exchange for lunch or a 6 pack or bottle of wine or something. It doesn't have to be offroad or anything but I would like to see all the suspension stuff work and any mods or gear you have, and if you're keen for a little bush trip I'd be more than happy!

    Anyway, if you are interested, let me know! If not, or this breaches forum rules then Mods feel free to delete.

    Your idea is good Dan.
    A WA member who had a D1 and TD5 Deefer came and had a drive of my D4 rather than a dealer.He now owns a secondhand D4

    I'd give you a drive of mine Dan but you're on the wrong side of Sydney. I don't recall too many if any D3/D4 members up your way unfortunately.

    Well I found out that the car for sale on the central coast is actually in the newcastle area and from my place its about the same time to get there as it is to get to Hornsby or even St Leonards. So my heading should now read "North Sydney Test Drive". Anyone in the north sydney area able and willing on a weekend?
