A new rear diff module was 234 GBP earlier this year.
You should probably fit the stronger CVs too, possibly with stronger half-shafts.

Does the price include the motor?
Someone on disco3club.co.uk did it.

Yes it does Graham - the company is based in Sydney and are diff/gearbox specialists. It is a complete diff - not just the centre.
Big thanks to Dan as well for passing along the UK D3/4 link that shows it has been done before. Gives me more incentive to get this project underway for literally a quarter of the price of buying the bits new or....buying another D4 with the electronic diff fitted!
Which company?
I costed an e-diff conversion for my model 4.4 TDV8 Vogue earlier this year at approx $8K ex UK for new/refurbished diff components, new control module, the combination wiring loom (75 GBP) and freight. Retro-fitting to the Vogue is easy, as would be the D4 if the connectors already exist, with only CCF activation once fitted. The 8K cost is not so easy to accept.
The Vogue does not use the same housing as the D4 but as supercharged Vogues have an e-diff standard then I've considered getting one and having my CW&P fitted rather than buying new. BTW, the MY10-12 Vogues use the same e-diff control module as the D4.
