MY14 D4s use one globe for both low and high beam and use a shutter to direct the light accordingly. The same globe is on all of the time so there is no delay with switching from low to high with HID.

I was really happy with the Phillips White Visions on a previous vehicle. The clear light and full pattern definitely make up for lost lumens.
In Blingworks' defence, having dealt with them, I think the boys are a bit more knowledgeable and professional than their web page (and name!) gives the impression...
Thanks Stuart. I have used and been happy with Blingwork too. However I don't have any feedback on that HID kit and it costs more than the hids4u kit.

An update on this ....
Looked at options to improve the standard halogen headlight bulbs (single bulb for high & low beam with shutter). I don't have additional driving/spot lights.
I went with the cheaper option of replacement bulbs that are supposed to be whiter in colour and slightly brighter, rather than the HID upgrade kit.
Options summarised in an earlier post, quoted below.
Yet to drive extensively at night with these but they certainly are whiter and I think also slightly brighter.
I wouldn't say these are a major improvement in light level but I'm happy with them for the relatively cheap outlay and improved light colour.
