When British 4x4 fitted the serviceable transmission pan on our D3 they also fitted a heavy duty transmission oil cooler, knowing we bought ours for dragging a float with a big horse.

Took mine into see Renee at the Landy Center Cairns, he had his comp. out so we did a full code readout, nothing at all bar a couple on the radio that he said most have.
First question he asked was do I have any brake problems with the van ? but checked out the switch, seems O.K.
I still suspect the fuel filter, but it was a new L/R original only 6K ago, and if it was fuel supply should have had a fault code. Renee suspects it may have been the heat, but that does not explain the surging on the return trip, quite a bit cooler then.
Drives perfectly now without the van, probably wait for the next service to do any more.

Earth problem on the van wiring ? Just putting a left field idea out there ?
I lost power towing the CT in the gold Coast hinterland, which is quite hilly.
Turned out that the turbo hose was busted. Only showed up under full load...
Would include a pic if I could work out how on my tablet...
Sorry to say this but I got rid of my Disco3 and no more.... It was affecting my mental health considerably, was doing my head in. We spent a fortune on it but could not get rid of limp mode. EXTREMELY dangerous with caravan in tow. Ruined our years travels for winter. struggled home and sat by the fire,
I want to say thanks far and wide and to all who helped with advice for the support. Keep an eye out for my leftovers. cheers Don :(
