Rained here on & off for a couple of hours this morning, and has been quite cool since. More rain / storms forecast for tonight and showers / storms for the next couple of days.

And only a couple of days ago, we got the hot spell that has since gone through SA with better than 40 degrees for a couple of days.

Just reading the forecasts for this year's Sydney to Hobart - looks like it's going to be a rough one - there's even talk of delaying the start.
    Cheers .........

I left my Engel in the back of Debs Territory whilst I had the windows tinted.I just swapped it back an hour ago.Temp gauge on the Engel was reading 65degC inside the fridge

    People.
I drove past a 4x4 shop south of the river today.
They had a 200 Series and a FJello(or what ever they call them) with the Backbone racks on.They even looked good on them. When you see one on a FJello you will see why they needed to sort the backbone system, their roof is shaped like a banana

Has anyone got a Rhino Backbone on their car that they could send me some photos of? I'm thinking of swapping...

You're not alone. I have only seen pictures, maybe it looks better in the flesh?

Same here. Jury is out until I see one in the flesh I suppose, but the pics I've seen so far don't do anything for me.

I have a half length pioneer on short legs. It is very neat and as low as you can get I prefer it to the look of this backbone system. The rated weight for the roof is only 70kg total including the rack so there is not much point in having a huge rack up there. I reckon a spare wheel and four camping chairs and a camp table plus a foxwing pretty much maxes it out, and all of that fits on the half length Pioneer platform.

    I quite like the look.....

But i can see it being painful cleaning under the rack or getting tie down straps around some things.
