    D4 Glares/Reflection

    Hi there....

Pardon me if this has been discussed. Love my D4 to the bits, but facing this small glare/reflection onto my face when driving under direct sunlight. I have use a piece of cloth to cover it but I am there will be better suggestions out there.

    The door handle also.
Others have talked about using carbon fibre wrap or the stuff you have on the wheel arches.
Its annoying on a long drive in one direction,Ive thrown my hat over it in the past.

That was my post that was mentioned in the link and the only thing I would add to the discussion is have a more general look for 3M Wrap Film as there are many more colours and texture than what I used, just in case you wanted to better match the surrounding surfaces. Unfortunately I don't have a link for you here.

I've been trying to do exactly that Rod. Haven't found a non-USA source yet for anything other than carbon fibre finish. There seems to be some good brushed or matt finishes but shipping from USA is expensive. Still looking. Only want to get the genuine 3M.

Scott, Avery films are also very good - they make a large range of the vehicle wrap material...

Go to a vehicle wrapping shop, they'll have an offcut

    Hi Motz,
What about cutting a piece of black (or charcoal grey) adhesive-backed felt neatly to the required shape. With the backing sheet left on (so adhesive is not exposed), you could use small spots of blu-tack to hold it in position while you see how well it works and if it looks acceptable.
If OK, then remove, peel off the adhesive backing paper and apply.
A piece of black or charcoal grey LEATHER could also be used, and might look a bit classier.

That's a good idea Tombie about offcuts.
But I managed to find it at Supercheap Auto in matt black in a kit.
I posted my efforts in the earlier thread: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/...nob-panel.html

Still need to do the parkbrake switch.

And I'd forgotten about Avery. I've heard of them somewhere. Anyway we'll see how the 3M wrap goes for longevity.

    Cheers,
