    Terrain Response Experience Events 2016

I've been wanting (for the last several months) to provide a more in-depth training program than our usual 1/2 day events, which were based on the model we use locally in WA. However, after much planning I've realised that I can't do this alone.

So for 2016, I'm partnering with a couple of interstate training organisations to provide 2-day driver training events in other states. This way we combine the GOE Terrain Response training with local knowledge of the areas and conditions.

Currently there will be events in South Australia (with Red Earth Expeditions) and Queensland, with a view to expanding into other states later in the year.

There are two types of "Terrain Response Experience" programs: the Sand Mastery course, and the Trails Mastery course. These are intensive 2-day courses that are designed to provide you with an advanced level of knowledge as to your car's abilities and levels of preparation required. They are not going to turn a complete newbie into the 3rd Leyland brother, but they will provide you with enough knowledge to confidently know your vehicle and its capabilities.

The first two events are already up on the GOE website:

    * Sand Mastery (South Australia / Victoria) will be held in Beachport (approx 4 1/2 hours from Melbourne or Adelaide) on the weekend of the 13th & 14th of February.

    * Sand Mastery (Qld) will be held on Fraser Island on the weekend of XXXXXXXX April.Gordon asked for this to be edited. I need to change the event dates for the Fraser Island event from 2/3 April to 16/17 April.

For those with more time on their hands, there is also the 3-week combined training & tag-along trip from Uluru to Cape Leveque via the Kimberlies.

The Trails Mastery courses are still being put together, but should be finalised sometime this quarter.

    Cheers,

    Gordon

What's the cost of the Fraser weekend & have you negotiated with any of the resorts for accomodation?

Costs are on the GOE website - accommodation for Fraser hasn't been finalised yet.

Thanks Gordon - I assume you would be conducting it on the eastern side of the island - are you trying to tie up a resort for a deal? Or let each attendant sort out their own accom? let me know the details as soon as you have them sorted. I have a colleague at work with a new FL2 who is also interested.
