We're going to have a look at a couple this arvo, but don't tell the Defender boys,, I'm going to cop an ear bashing if we end up getting one
Good luck with yours, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. :D

Hahahaha,
In all seriousness, I think the D4 not only is a fantastic vehicle, but depending on what deal you can get, is fantastic value for money. I got mine for near enough to the same price as a VX Prado.......
Couldn't be happier and now I am just hanging to get my hands on the keys. Good luck with browsing, but given that I was only "browsing" 9 days ago.... I think I know the outcome. LOL
Welcome to the Permagrin club. It sounds like your grin has started already.
Don't forget to post a picture, otherwise it never happened......
Hahahahaha no problems. I'll post a photo Friday complete with grin. :D
And you're right about that, every time I think about it or someone mentions it, I smile.
Just doing some research on my mod list now. Not planning on doing too much to this one, but having said that I'm up to 9 things already. LOL
Hi Smocky, congratulations on the new purchase, like others have said you will have a permagrin once you have one D4 parked in your driveway.
Regarding accessories if I had to pick any two accessories as a starting point my picks would be the following., Personally I reckon the single best accessory to have on a D3/4 is a LLams kit, it comes in so useful even for everyday driving, let alone off road and once you have had one you will never want to be without it.
Gordon's compressor guard is a must for off road, way to easy to smash the compressor bracket, which can potentially leave you stranded if you do a good enough job.
After that then theres potentially a huge selection of excellent goodies to be had. Enjoy your new Disco and as others have said some pics are a good thing.
Ohh no,,, what are you doin' here???
Oh that's right, it's the D4 section eh.
There are some great deals going at the moment, and we do miss the comfort of the old Disco. As needs change, so too do the wants, but, at the end of the day, it'll all depend on cash of course.
I gotta stop reading. My list currently is:
Electric brakes (have a CT with electric brakes)
Traxide dual battery system (had one in the Pajero)
Upgrade main battery
Anderson plug to rear of car for CT charging
Convert rear tow plug from round to flat
Rear drawers
Aux 12v socket in rear for fridge
UHF
Aerial
AT tyres
Roof rails
Roof platform
Mitch hitch (needs more investigation)
Llams (?? not sure about this, will ask some questions later)
Side steps
Compressor protection plate
Front bash plate
Mud flaps (cannot believe there are none on the car)
Driving light upgrade.
I'll create a new thread on Friday when i pick up the car to take over from this "pre-sales" thread to the "build advice" thread.
Then i gotta prioritise what i need to do. Protection and towing is probably the highest priority, so funnily enough it might be mud flaps, side steps and Traxide.
Cheers for all the fantastic info on this site guys, unbelievable how much great info is in one place for someone new to the LR world.
One of the Traxide dual battery kits comes with a rear Andersen plug & an extra 12v outlet for in the rear & the ability to re-align the current rear 12v from current circuits to the 2nd battery- really great install instructions from TIM as well.
I had a auto sparky mate make me a 12flat to 2 large round plugs adapter - you can get the White plug on eBay
