No special tools are needed to remove the wiper arm - just remove the retaining nut and very carefully pull on the wiper around the shaft - you need to pull it square or it can jam. But go carefully.

Removing wiper arms you needs the tool like the one from SCA that Scott is talking about, otherwise you cant pull it off square and you will damage the spline. Bit of a tight spot to lever up from underneath and you cant lever off the winsdcreen or the plastic shroud.

Replacing blades is even simpler, I think the bosch aeroblades are the best aftermarket ones to use.

Gee that’s not nice - I always thought it was nice that the people at SCA offer to change the wiper for you. Just don’t let the work experience kid do it.

I have taken off my blades about 10 times (mainly to "black" the scuttle panel and never used a tool. Had the windscreen replaced twice on my front lawn buy O'Briens and like me they just pull them off - no tool, no damage.

If you need a tool the arms must be corroded on.

My passenger side wiper arm is FUBAR and have a replacement on order. It doesn’t move in unison with the driver side so I think the spline could be the issue.

By the way the Bosch blades are the way to go...

Sydney Tools has one of these up here in Brisbane where it’s just started to rain of course!

Only time I've removed the arms was when I removed the scuttle panel to apply Raptor coating to it. Came of easy enough, glad I had the tool for it

'''Severe storm trifecta''' heading for the east coast I must drive the Disco tomorrow to work so I have loosened and removed the retaining nut completely and the driver’s side works now alone and the passenger side stays stowed.
Good news is the motor turns the bolt and so it is the arm. New arm arrives from JLR Friday.
