They can keep bagging Discoveries & Land Rovers in general.
I don't want to drive a Toyota L/C like everybody else & their dog, cousin or cat.
Do L/C drivers give each other a wave?
Do they have an affinity with their vehicle?
They drive a "nice" car which does what is expected, nothing else - a bit like a fridge or computer.
Ever loved your fridge or computer?
Land Rovers have their eccentricities, that's what makes them great, lovable & kind of fun. Hell, your even pretty sure they will get you home these days.
A Toyota is no cheaper, certainly not better & really pretty boring.
Just to be different people keep buying them, just like everybody else.
I like cars & I like driving therefore I have something that is a bit more advance & a little better to drive & which makes me feel good.
No, let them keep telling people to buy ToyoPatrols their not a bad car & one day they might even catch up with modern tec & Land Rover.

Yeah there's this weird disconnect where every manufacturer clearly benchmarks and often outright imitates LR products and innovations, then journos talk about why "the others" are better...
Could it be that the LRA marketing dept is not as smart as Toyota s and doesn't suck up to journal,
I presume they tested a loan vehicle
I agree with everything you say but to just go OT for a second, i do love my fridge and my computer. I take a lot of interest in design and brand values. Within my humble budget try to keep ugly crap out of my life.
Prados. Ugh. I couldn't get out of bed if I had one.
