You shouldn't need to turn the rear sensors off. I found that there was no interference with the Mitch Hitch unless you have the towbar tongue installed, which I only do when actually towing.

    Cheers,
    Scott
Must be different in a d3 , my Mitch hitch with no tongue always sets my sensors off . It's second nature now to press the button on the dash to mute them when you engage reverse .

I have a Dec 15 also and ordered Llams, no mention that it wasn't available yet. It's sitting on my desk ready to be installed. Did they mention what has changed?

    Great pic Scott.

Is that the same woman or have you found a few who would let you sit in a camp chair when something needed to be done. If yes, well done on both counts.

    Nice RRV 2 door.

However the wheels on the D4 look crap. Luckily I might know of a soft touch who would probably buy them. 😈

    Hi
I have been contacted by Llams and clarified that it is available and a misunderstanding.
    All good.

Nothing has changed, just a misunderstanding by DPL staff which is now sorted, perhaps confusing my recent advice of the pending availability of a version for the current RRS & RR.

    Rear Storage

Time to sort out the back area.
I have deigned and cut a floor panel, to cover hole left by seat removal.
    Cut with CNC router table.
Removing seat opens up an area approx 900 x 1100 x 100 plus an area behind rear seat for a 60L water bladder.
You'll notice a slotted hole for spare wheel winder.
The bottom left hole is to suit my tool bag. This is covered by fridge slider when on trips.
You may also notice cut out for original tie downs, I bolting thru to original fixing points.
Plan is to wrap in marine carpet.
    I'll keep chipping away.

That looks excellent. Can you provide a design CAD file or drawing for this design?
I'm about to help remove 3rd row seats in my father's D4 very soon. My 3rd row gets used sometimes but may look at this false floor for say Simpson desert setup.

    Cheers,

    Busy Weekend

I had a busy Easter weekend installing equipment to the new D4.
My wife said I was boring but I had a good time.

    Mitch Hitch Installed
    Traxide Installed
    GME UHF Radio Installed
    Ariel on LAB Bracket
    Tow Pro Controller installed
    Llams Installed.
    IID Tool Installed
    Custom Rear Elec Panel Installed
3rd Row Seats removed and Custom Floor Installed.
There is probably a few tweaks to floor I would do next time.
Well worth doing these jobs all at once, you do need to keep track of where your at.
It took probably 2 full days, as a first timer.
