cant even see the mounting screws (and love the look of the facelift models)
I ended up making my own plate mounts out of some 5mm aluminum plates,
Initially using brass nuts and bolts to mount the rego plates, but ended deciding they made the plates stick out too far, (even when cut and filed down) , i got access to a nutsert kit from my mates work and punched them into my home made rego plate mounts. Now I have my rego plates securely mounted on with 5mm metric stainless screws.

I then bought a pair of ALTREX plate covers from supercheap and the end product looks not bad i recon :)
well at least better than what I did with my trusty old D2 (aka by tec screwing straight into the plastic bumper lol)
