Re map for D4

That's the problem I have with the other driver of ours... :angel:

She drives by pedal position - hence quicker acceleration and consumption increases - as compared to pre-map.

Post-map - less input to throttle giving acceleration as was experienced pre-map and then accompanied by steady cruising gives better consumption.

In your case the ambient temperature may well have affected it a tad.

Umm,happens here as well,that is why I haven't done any around town checks on fuel consumption,and I am sure the brakes are now wearing out quicker.......:(

On that long run it was on cruise control over half the time,and I did most of the driving:)

Fortunately here the said 'other driver' is cautious on the stopping part. Take off is a decidedly quicker - possibly from watching me push the throttle to the firewall in my piloting days... :angel:

My EGRs are unplugged so they should be closed. I've noticed only a very very small drop in consumption. But the motor runs nicer.

Peter is Gold Coast based these days, can contact him via the website. There used to be an agent out Point Cook way, don't know if he's still there. But I get the impression Peter is in Melbourne reasonably often, will do on site work. The Bluefin seems to be getting more capable too, so more chance you can remap yourself via the OBD.
Superchip are also apparently doing EGR deactivation as part of their remaps now.

I have had my tdv6 2.7 remapped by Roo Systems agent in Sydney...
The Dyno trace before and after show a noticeable difference.
170k on the clock, so not a new engine... summary:
Performance - vast improvement
Towing - vast improvement
Fuel consumption - not improved
Overall - not sure the car is 100% happy, but i am ..
Cost - probably too much at $1500 but hell i cant take it with me. :p

If you take it for a long drive without quick acceleration and at a constant speed (eg 100) then you will notice the difference in improved economy. If ours is driven at a constant 80kph it has markedly improved economy over pre-remap.

Hey this is Sydney :eek:... i haven't driven at a constant 80kph for months.. its either city driving or towing a boat at the weekends... if i ever get the chance to do a constant steady drive for a whole tank I'm sure i will see an improvement but until my Fraser trip i dont think thats going to happen.. lol
