Have to take into account that any sort of written off vehicle is going to show up in inspection reports which will make it harder to sell also later on....
My last car had been a repairable write off before i purchased it and i was fine with it as it had been done properly and was straight and drove great, but i paid $5000 less than any other of the same spec on the market.
And when it came time to sell i had to do the same, which was fine for me as i'd already picked it up cheaper....
