Yep I have sat Nav & it's in mine - 10 disk "spaces" so I guess it's not a very big hdd
Most of the time these days I'm listening to streaming services
It would have to be a reasonable size, that link I put up says it takes a long time to upload into the HDD because it isnt compressed.I have compared CD VS my thumb drive in the D4.Brothers In Arms(Dire Strates) really rocks it on the CD,the USB version isnt quite as good.Money For Nothing really shows the difference:cool::cool::cool::cool:
Havent compared Pink Floyd with the USB,Im surprised I still have hearing and speakers:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool: :cool:

Dark Side Of The Moon was the first cd I put onto the HDD. I haven't been game to hit maximum volume but the sound is incredible:p:p:p Only allowed to have high volume without swmbo on board :D Mine is an HSE and has SatNav so the previous comments seem to bear this out.

One observation I can make with the CD changer that was in my D2 is when you are on corrugated roads the CD player would stop playing and on an extended trip that could mean all you listen to is your teeth. I'm not sure if this would happen with either the CD or HDD in the D4 but test it out before you spend the time putting your favourites on the HDD.
My method is to copy all my 450 CDs onto my computer, upload them to my phone and then Bluetooth connection to the D4. Everything is there, not a piddly 10 CDs worth, and they play in any conditions.
The meridian in my Jag can do this as well, but I have never bothered since I can just connect my phone by Bluetooth and play from my phone.
