Internal LED upgrade

So here's something I learnt after buying a couple of extra ones ;)
I put a 15 LED panel style bulb in the boot light thinking it would be better.

Required a bit of dremmeling to fit (left hand side of photo).
This replaced one of the 6 LED one-sided ones I'd put there already.

But in fact 6 x 5630 LEDs is equivalent to 15 x 5050 LEDs
3528 vs 5050 vs 5630 LED SMD Diodes
Identified by shape; 5050 are square and 5630 are rectangular.

No big deal as I'll be putting the 6 LED one elsewhere but it's definitely worth looking for the 5630 LED type. Much more light per LED.

Nice one Scott! The boot light was the only one where I thought i'd like a bit more juice as I have a fridge right below it. I'll be grabbing one of these.

I reckon 9 would be ideal for the boot one but haven't found a 9 x 5630. The 15 x 5050 is very cheap and puts out the same light as the 6 x 5630.

Nice, yeah i've seen it. I have 12v sockets at the back so just plug in an LED strip when i'm camped up, it's just the quick uses i'm looking to solve. Love Scotts work there too, it's on the project list for another day ;)
