Discovery 4 MY14 2014 SDV6 continual 'limp mode' electrical issues

Our Land Rover Discovery 4 2014 MY14 HSE is currently in repair with Concord Land Rover NSW for the 10TH TIME for the same electrical problem. The car seems to have a faulty sensor system because it puts the car in 'limp mode' (max.60kph, lowers suspension and reduces power) randomly when there seems to be nothing wrong with the car. It happened 8 times in one day a few weeks ago and that was the last straw. 4 times on the busy m4 motorway where I had to pull over and turn-off/alarm/unalarm/restart the car. Very dangerous! I keep taking into Concord Land Rover and they keep trying different things but they don't have the ability to fix the problem. They change sensors and wiring but it just keeps on happening. I love the car apart from this. I tows our caravan beautifully, has a beautiful ride and the rear seat configuration is extremely useful for a family of 5 and carrying a big load. Do I have a lemon?
The reason I am putting this on the forum is to see if anyone else has experienced this problem. Our factory warranty expires in July 2019 and we need to decide whether to keep it or move on from Land Rover. They don't have the best reliability track record.

Is it restricted performance or a suspension fault? Regardless, the dealer should readily determine the cause and fix ti properly so can you take it to a different dealer?

To be fair on the dealer (well this time anyway) and giving them the benefit of the doubt (well this time anyway).

It wouldn't be the first Disco 3/4/RRS to be plagued with an ongoing issue as you described.
There are so many variables in what could be causing the issue that without seeing the vehicle and knowing whats been looked at, then its just speculation from anyone giving info on the cause.

Regardless of the warranty running out, the fact you have brought this to the attention of the dealer before the warranty expires means they are required to rectify the issue as still under warranty.

Now this is you speculating, I can't image you know the skill level or experience of the techs/mechs working there. They may well have some of the best techs and your issue may well be far more complicated than you realise.

It also may well be a simple problem that a simple tech can't work out

Not the direction of your question, but have they looked at the radiator temp sensor? I had very similar issues on a different vehicle and this was the simple permanent fix.

What are the error codes you are getting?

Hopefully the team at Concord should be able to download all of the error codes stored in the ECUs and determine what's going on

I'm not sure what codes they are getting. Sometimes they are getting no codes. They are currently pulling out the front 2 seats and replacing the wiring in the floor leading up to the steering column. Hopefully this fixes it.

It goes into the restricted performance 'limp mode' where it slows down to 60kph maximum and lowers the suspension to access height. I don't know what troubleshooting steps Land Rover have/teach their techs but whatever it is it doesn't seem to be fixing the problem. Is it a faulty sensor system or is it a 'difficult to determine' component fault?

If they have the right diagnostic tools and understand what if any codes they pull out of the system it should be able to trace the fault. Faulty wiring or sensors also gives up codes in the form of lost communications (I can't remembered the right syntax.

High level codes related to powertrain (engine and transmission) are P type codes. There are many on here that know a lot more about error logging and codes than me. It is unusual for the car to go into limp mode without logging some type of an error code.
