New D4 steering noise

I've had this noise for quite a while now. You really only notice it at start / end of a journey when turning in / out of parking places.

Symptoms are a sound inside the car, just like a whisper / swoosh / (I can say would be similar to an electrical servo) and appears to be coming from the column.

Looking for updates on what it might be / if it needs a fix?

Electronic steering column lock.

I would have it straight back to a LR dealer for a warranty claim. I had several issues with my MY16 D4 and my local dealer was nothing but helpful and all done under warranty. It would be interesting to know if it has logged a code. That would certainly help your case.
