This may cause you issues in a warranty situation. Only the older models have had the encryption successfully bypassed for software-only re-map.
To my knowledge this has not yet been achieved for the 3.0L models (Tombie will know this for sure).
I would not consider this until after warranty period and even then I really don't think I'd bother for an SDV6.
I'm not wanting to start an argument about warranty and consumer rights etc .... just point out something to consider.
I would not want the stress of the battle even if I'm in the right.
It would be difficult to argue that an unapproved engine software change has had no impact on the engine/drivetrain related failure or fault (if something happens).

I think the SDV6 is just as quick as a D3 V8 (Uses the half the fuel though)and I can drag off V6 Dunnydores. I think coming from a Defender you will be pleasantly surprised. (V8 sounds better though)
