Okay, so I originally asked about floor mats. I think I'm set on going for the OEM rubber ones and happy to go for an aftermarket boot liner of some kind. Next question is dash mats? Who has one? Obviously they're going to protect the leather dash from the harsh sun and heat we get here, but imho I think it's a shame to cover such a quality feature. Are the disco dashes prone to fading / damage and if so what does everyone do to combat this without a dash mat?
Cheers
As long as you are running the factory glass it shouldnt be an issue, they have very good UV blocking.
Use a good interior cleaner with added UV protectant and you are doing the best you can.

I tried these ebay rubber mats and boot liner mat. They are fairly robust have good lip to catch the crap which has been great for catching a gallon of water leaked in the boot avoiding a mess several times. They don't cover the middle hump but cover most other floor space. I like the fact the fixing holes align with the car fixings on front ones but had to drill out the rear holes.
I cant compare to official LR ones as I haven't tried them, but they have been used for nearly 3 years now and still good condition even after lots of items thrown in the boot regularly.

The LR rubber mats are covered by warranty, 3 years if you buy them with the car, 2 year if you buy them stand alone.
I had my front ones replaced under warranty from wearing a hole in the drivers mat.
If you are after a dash mat, these
LAND ROVER DASH MAT
are referred to in another thread and like me a number of D3 owners have them. Quite good for the price and fit well.
Just found a set of D4 mats on Gumtree, listed in marketplace alerts
