Just to clarify what seems to be a cause of common confusion:
- Wheel diameter has no bearing on clearance.
- Only overall tyre diameter does.

You should be able to legally fit 265 x 70 x 17 or 265 x 65 x 18 on a lifted coiler.
I am running 265/70 R17 tyres from when I got my 2005 D3. No problems with clearance.
I have subsequently had the King Springs 50mm lift and would never go back.

I wasn't aware D3 came with coils I thought they were all airbags.
That explains the absolutely ridiculous looking D3 I saw this afternoon on Port Hacking Rd. Woman driving with kids in car, the D3 was dropped on its arse, I thought maybe had extra extra low access height but couldn't understand why it looked so bouncy, it looked like a pogo stick when she turned the cnr. (I think her husband works at Phat Pizza :o )
Must of had some heavy duty springs as it was exaggeratedly low, I was dumb founded and couldn't understand how anyone could drive like that and couldn't comprehend WHY?
Cadbury Allsorts ha ha ha :)
